We have digestive enzymes in our mouth and when you drink your smoothie too fast you limit your food being in contact with these important enzymes. In addition you may overload your stomach which is the size of a fist.
I drink my smoothie late mornings after I’ve consumed water, fruit and green vegetables.
1 1/2 cup – plant milk ( almond, rice, hemp etc..)
2 cups – greens ( single or combination: spinach, kale, arugula, lettuce)
1 cup – fruit ( favorite: blue berries, black berries, raspberries )
1 green or red delicious apple
1/2 banana or 1/4 avocado
1 tbsp – cacao nibs
1 1/2 tsp – moringa ( super-food with concentrated high vitamins and mineral content )
1 scoop – protein powder ( non-soy without fillers )
1 pinch stevia – optional
3 ice cubes – optional
Serving Size: 2
Place milk in the blender cup followed by the remaining ingredients.
Blend well, split into 2 containers. Save one for an in between meal snack.
