EXOTIC LAB TESTS
These tests find the "Root Causes" of Dis-ease, Illness, or Poor
Health. Therefore, once the "Root Cause" of Health Problems are
identified and quantified, a skillful, experienced Doctor can then make
sensible recommendations to the patient to correct the fundamental
causative factors that created the Dis-ease in the first place.
Most Medical Doctors offices simply run "standard" blood tests
and do "standard" history and physical exams that only check for
Basic or Gross or Advanced Disease states. Then either this approach
reveals nothing (and you are given a clean bill of health but still don't
feel well or told it's all in your head) or reveal a serious Health
challenge. Then, if there is Disease and/or Symptoms, you are given Drugs
or offered Medical Procedures that all suppress the Symptoms and ignore
the "Root Causes". All too often this "standard"
approach does not cure the Disease, but does cause more Dis-ease and
unfortunately make you a "faithful, longstanding customer".
THEREFORE, THE TREMENDOUS VALUE OF THESE EXOTIC LAB TESTS IS THAT THE
PATIENT NOW IS GIVEN CLEAR, DEFINITIVE INFORMATION THAT HIS/HER DOCTOR CAN
USE TO GUIDE THEM IN BETTER, CORRECTIVE CHOICES IN: diet, lifestyle,
exercise, nutrition, health supplements, herbs, cleansing and
detoxification, internal organ (liver, heart, kidneys, colon, skin, etc.)
therapeutics, body system (immune, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous,
etc.) therapeutics, and more advanced therapeutics (e.g. acupuncture,
chelation therapy, mercury detoxification, massage, colonics, etc.)
Finally, with these Exotic Lab Tests, we will be able to answer such Root
Fundamental Questions as follows:
· Is there Cancer growing in your body at a very early stage level that
is not being detected by "standard" cancer tests?
· Do you have Candida/Yeast/Bacteria in your Intestinal Tract? If so, how
much and what supplements or pharmaceuticals will kill it?
· Do you have Heavy Metal Poisoning (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic,
aluminum, nickel)?
· Is your Liver sluggish (i.e. not Detoxing at an efficient level)?
· Are you suffering from Nutritional Deficiencies (vitamin, mineral,
enzymes)?
· Do you have Parasites?
· Are Adrenal Glands being overworked (i.e. adrenal stress syndrome)?
· Do you have a Hormone Imbalance (women or men)?
· Do you have an Amino Acid Deficiency?
· Are you suffering from Osteoporosis (bone loss)?
· Do you have Leaky Gut Syndrome (e.g. are your intestines permeable)?
Women and men should very seriously consider getting the AMAS TEST (which
stands for Anti-Malignant Antibody Screening). The AMAS is a simple Blood
Test that measures the presence of any Cancer in the body (including:
Breast, Prostate, Ovarian, Lung, etc.). Many cutting-edge medical
professionals are now using the AMAS Test as a Primary Preventive
Screening Procedure in conjunction with 'Conventional' Screening Methods
(including: DRE, PSA, Mammography, etc.). Why???.... Because the AMAS Test
has been shown 95% reliable and accurate on the first test, and 99% when
repeated. The real advantage of using the AMAS Test is that it can detect
Cancer up to 19 months before "Conventional" Medical Screening
can find it.... However, the AMAS Test is not effective to detect Advanced
Stages of Cancer.
Who should obtain the AMAS test?
1. Anyone with a family history of cancer. Studies have shown an increased
risk with a family history of cancer, either due to environmental or
genetic causes (some laboratory tests are available today that can confirm
genetic tendencies toward certain cancers, a subject worthy of separate
discussion.
2. Anyone who has had cancer in the past and who is concerned about
recurrence. People who survived cancer usually have a higher likelihood of
a second cancer, yet the tests commonly used to assess the patient's
status uncover the recurring disease when it's too late or too advanced.
AMAS can help monitor the patient while in remission, giving the treating
physician an opportunity to save the patient's life or reduce the
patient's suffering.
3. Anyone currently being treated for cancer. Usually the treating
physician is unable to verify the effectiveness of care. AMAS should be
used to monitor the patient's progress accurately, in order to reduce the
typical overkill approach in allopathic cancer treatments.
4. Anyone who is under significant toxic, chemical, or emotional stresses
and lowered immune resistance. If these or other factors increase your
cancer risk you may benefit from early or pre-clinical detection of
cancer, when therapy can be more effective. Successful screenings have
already been reported in selected high-risk populations (chemical workers
and surgical patients).
5. Anyone suffering from significant fear of cancer would benefit from the
peace of mind offered by negative test results. After all, the stress of
anxiety itself can depress your immune system and such fears should be
alleviated.
AMINO ACIDS ARE VITAL TO YOUR HEALTH!!!
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and are essential for many
bodily processes. Your digestive tract breaks down protein from food you
eat into individual amino acids, which are then absorbed into the blood
stream. Your body uses these amino acids for a variety of critical
functions:
· They build the structural proteins of muscle and connective tissue.
· They make enzymes, which control every chemical reaction in your body.
· They make a variety of brain neurotransmitters and hormones, generate
energy, stabilize blood sugar, and aid in detoxification and anti-oxidant
protection.
As a result, amino acids have a powerful effect on STRENGTH and ENDURANCE,
MENTAL-EMOTIONAL HEALTH, IMMUNE FUNCTION, and INFLAMMATORY PROCESSES.
HOW YOU CAN BECOME DEFICIENT IN AMINO ACIDS
"Essential" amino acids (taurine, cysteine, methionine, lysine,
valine, arginine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, leucine, histidine, tyrosine,
glutamine, and isoleucine) are those which your body cannot make, so they
must be supplied from diet. They can then be converted into other
important amino acids. For example, the essential amino acid methionine
can be metabolized to cysteine or taurine, amino acids which are critical
in the removal toxins from the body. Inadequacy of methionine or impaired
conversion can adversely affect this important process.
There is growing evidence that we may not be getting optimal amounts of
critical amino acids into our systems, either through poor dietary habits
or inadequate digestion and absorption of proteins. Many health problems
may benefit by specific amino acid supplementation.
Amino acids have a powerful effect on STRENGTH and ENDURANCE,
MENTAL-EMOTIONAL HEALTH, IMMUNE FUNCTION, and INFLAMMATORY PROCESSES.
HOW CAN AMINO ACID ANALYSIS HELP YOU?
Because amino acid balance is critical to good health, the amino acid
analysis of blood plasma or urine can provide your doctor with additional
options in treating your specific health condition. State-of-the-art
laboratory technology accurately measures your levels of these critical
nutrients. A blood (fasting plasma) test is the best way to detect
sub-optimal levels of amino acids and to help your doctor determine your
specific supplementation needs; an amino acid supplement can be compounded
based on your individual test results. A urine (24-hour collection) test
can indicate how effectively your body metabolizes amino acids, and can
help your doctor evaluate other nutrients you may need to efficiently
utilize amino acids.
Using these results and other diagnostic tools, your doctor can design a
natural therapeutic program that supplies your body with the healing
nutrients it needs. Natural therapies help reinstate your body's own
healing mechanisms, eliminating the toxic side effects often associated
with pharmaceutical drugs.
Amino Acid Imbalances are associated with a wide spectrum of Metabolic and
Nutritional Disorders, including: Protein Deficiency, Gastrointestinal
Problems, Inflammatory Responses, Vitamin/Mineral Dysfunctions,
Detoxification Impairments, Immunological Weaknesses, Cardiovascular
Disease, Food/Chemical Sensitivities, Depression, and Mental Dysfunction
to name a few!
· Checks for disease-causing candida (yeast) and bacteria
· This is a superb investigation that analyzes digestion, absorption,
assimilation, pancreas, and stomach and liver function in connection with
digestion
· Checks for undigested starch, fat, meat, etc.
· Checks bile function (bile is enzyme necessary to digest fats) (*liver
and gallbladder manufacture bile)
· Checks for occult (hidden) blood and pesticides
· Checks for trypsin which is a digestive enzyme
· Also provides sensitivity analysis of which agents (natural and
pharmaceutical) will destroy bacteria, candida, pathogens, etc. (e.g.
biocidin, citrus seed, niastatin, etc.)
· We can also alter diet and lifestyle as indicated and utilize other
therapies such as: herbs and supplements, IV therapies, exercise, colonics,
etc.
IS IT TIME TO ASSESS YOUR DIGESTIVE HEALTH???
(If you answer "yes" to at least two of the questions listed
below, then taking a Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis is
recommended.)
· Are you 50 years of age or older?
· Do you often have a bloated or full feeling in your stomach, especially
after eating?
· Do you often have intestinal gas?
· Do you have a spastic colon, irritable bowel syndrome, nervous stomach,
loose stools, or constipation?
· Do you avoid eating certain foods because they make you feel
uncomfortable?
· Are you allergic to any foods?
· Have you had any of the following: asthma, allergies, high blood
pressure, heart disease, history of strokes, arthritis, pernicious anemia,
an autoimmune disease, or yeast infection?
· Have you ever taken an antibiotic for more than one month at a time -
or have you taken antibiotics more than four times in your life?
· Have you ever noticed dark, tar-like stools, bloodstained stools,
bright-red rectal bleeding, or signs of intestinal bleeding?
· Have you ever taken oral contraceptives or steroids (cortisone,
prednisone, etc.) for extended periods?
· Do you prefer nutritional approaches whenever possible to restore
health and enhance well-being?
· Parasites affect millions of Americans - even those who never leave the
country.
· Why should I be concerned about parasites? Parasites are much more
common in the United States and other developed countries than you may
realize. They also cause many diarrheal diseases, which can lead to
serious illness and even death. An intestinal parasite can weaken your
body's natural immune system, making you more susceptible to other
illnesses. The frequency of world travel and increased immigration to the
United States has resulted in the significant spread of parasitic
infection.
· What are intestinal parasites? Intestinal parasites are organisms that
live within the intestinal tract, growing and feeding off your body. They
range from visible worms (like tapeworms and pinworms) to microscopic
organisms such as Giardia lamblia.
· How do you get parasites? Parasites are found in raw and undercooked
food and treated and untreated water; are transmitted by insects and
household pets; and are passed from person to person through unsanitary
habits and poor hygiene.
· What are the symptoms of a parasite infection? Almost any persistent
digestive disorder could result from a parasite. The most common symptoms
are diarrhea and abdominal pain. Other symptoms include NAUSEA, VOMITING,
GAS and BLOATING, FOUL-SMELLING STOOLS, ANOREXIA or WEIGHT LOSS,
GASTRITIS, CHILLS and FEVER, HEADACHE, CONSTIPATION, BLOOD or MUCUS IN
STOOLS, and FATIGUE.
Other health problems can result from disturbed digestive processes or
toxins produced by the parasite, such as ACHES and PAINS IN THE JOINTS AND
MUSCLES, ANEMIA, ALLERGIES, CHRONIC FATIGUE, IMMUNE DYSFUNCTION, SLEEP
DISTURBANCES, and DEPRESSION.
Ask Yourself (If you answer "yes" to two or more questions, an
intestinal parasite may be causing your symptoms, but treating the
symptoms alone won't eliminate the parasitic infection.):
· Do you have diarrhea frequently?
· Do you have abdominal cramps or pains?
· Do you have intestinal gas frequently?
· Do you suffer from bloating?
· Have you lost weight without trying?
· Are you anorexic now or have you ever been?
· After meals, do you often have heartburn or find it necessary to belch
frequently?
· Are you often constipated?
· Do you often feel nauseous?
· Do you suffer from chronic fatigue?
· Have you noticed blood or mucus in your stools?
· Have you traveled outside the U.S. in the past year?
As women become increasingly aware of the role that hormones play in their
health throughout their entire lives, they are realizing the urgent need
for reliable, clinically relevant assessment of hormone activity. The
Female Hormone Profile is a safe, non-invasive saliva assay that analyzes
levels of progesterone, testosterone, and -estradiol over 28 days. Because
these hormones shape the course of a woman's menstruation cycle,
imbalances can produce disruptions in: MOOD, SLEEP PATTERNS, APPETITE,
SEXUAL DRIVE, and PMS SYMPTOMS.
The Female Hormone Profile provides clinical direction for successful
treatment of women with MENSTRUAL IRREGULARITIES, DIFFICULTIES WITH
OVULATION, FUNCTIONAL INFERTILITY, PRE-MENSTRUAL SYNDROME, MENOPAUSE,
OSTEOPOROSIS, AND OTHER HORMONE RELATED DISORDERS. Once abnormal patterns
are accurately detected, an effective, customized treatment plan can be
developed to restore a patient's natural hormonal rhythms. This profile
also serves as an invaluable tool for monitoring the effectiveness of
therapy and safeguarding against excessive hormone levels caused by
unmonitored hormone replacement therapy.
The comprehensive version of this profile includes measures of cortisol,
DHEA, and melatonin, to get a more complete picture of how adrenal
hormones and melatonin may also be playing a role in producing symptoms
and/or imbalances.
· Food Allergies are often the culprits looking behind a set of
"mysterious" symptoms that cannot be easily diagnosed
· Food Allergies have been linked to: Irritable Bowel Syndrome,
Indigestion, Poor Digestion, Sinus Problems, Colitis, Crohn's Disease,
Arthritis, Eczema, Insomnia, Irritability, Dermatitis, Headaches,
Depression, Asthma, Anxiety, Ear Infections, and Chronic Fatigue
WHAT IS AN ALLERGY?
The word "allergy" is derived from the Greek words meaning
"altered reaction". An allergic reaction occurs when the immune
system "overreacts" to a substance by identifying it as an
invading organism, provoking a chain of defensive physical reactions in
the body.
ASK YOURSELF (If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, you
may be experiencing symptoms caused by food allergies):
· Do you occasionally suffer from digestive problems, such as gas,
bloating, diarrhea, or constipation?
· Do your eyes sometimes feel itchy or watery?
· Do you often experience fatigue, hyperactivity, or difficulty in
concentrating?
· Are you prone to mood swings, food cravings, or anxiety?
· Do you often feel depressed?
· Do your muscles and joints sometimes ache?
· Have you suffered recurrent ear infections or other chronic infections?
· Have you ever noticed the appearance of hives or rashes?
· Do you get headaches or migraines?
· Do you suffer from recurrent asthma, bronchitis, or sinus problems?
· Do you sometimes experience a set of "mysterious" symptoms
that seem to "come and go" on their own?
It is becoming more and more well known that Environmental Pollution is
reaching Epidemic Proportions.... and a part of this are the Heavy/Toxic
Metals that we are exposed to on a Daily Basis (in the Water, Food, Air,
Mercury Amalgam Fillings, Medical/Pharmaceutical Industry, Chemical
Industry, Cosmetic Industry, Clothing Industry, Work Environment,
Cookware, Smoking, and Second-Hand Smoke) such as: Aluminum, Cadmium,
Lead, Mercury, Nickel. These Heavy Metals, when accumulated in the Body,
have been unequivocally associated with: IMMUNE SYSTEM DYSFUNCTIONS,
CARDIOVASCULAR PROBLEMS, ATHEROSCLEROSIS, ARTHRITIS, CANCER, ALZHEIMER'S,
LEARNING DISABILITIES, COGNITIVE/MEMORY DYSFUNCTION, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS,
GASTROINTESTINAL PROBLEMS, TUMORS, PROSTATE PROBLEMS, CANCER, etc.
**An effective way to Measure if you have a Heavy Metal Problem is to do
an EDTA or DMPS Chelation Challenge. Here we do Heavy Metal Testing after
administering only one Chelation Treatment (which is specifically designed
to pull Heavy Metals out of your body into the Blood which is filtered
through the kidneys and ultimately excreted through the urine).
· This test is performed by the patient ingesting 2 Sugars:
1. Manatol - a large sugar, which if absorbed too much or too quickly
yields indications that the sugar is going right through and there is a
"leaky gut"
2. Lactate - simple sugar, should be absorbed very quickly, if not, there
is a malabsorption problem
· If patient has a "leaky gut", the body can consider those
foods which leak out of the intestines as foreign invaders and the white
blood cells will attack.... thus creating inflammation, antibodies.
Finally, creating food and chemical sensitivities, allergies.
· Many problems associated with "Leaky Gut" including:
FOOD/CHEMICAL ALLERGIES, ARTHRITIS, SKIN RASHES, MENTAL IMBALANCES,
DIGESTIVE DISORDERS, AUTO-IMMUNE DISORDERS.
(This is not a liver death test, as measured in routine blood chemistry
tests--where you check the liver enzymes, SGOT and SGTT. This is testing
liver Necrosis (Death) because as liver cells die and burst open, the SGOT
and SGTT will leak out and become elevated in the blood, for example, in
Hepatitis B and C.)
Chronic health problems can develop from your body's impaired
detoxification ability. Uncover the link between your symptoms and your
liver function.
What role does the liver play in detoxification?
The liver is a key organ in your body's self-defense system. It changes,
or detoxifies, many harmful substances into forms which your body can
safely eliminate.
How do these toxins get into the body?
In today's world of processed foods and pollution, toxic substances exist
almost everywhere. They are in the food you eat, the water you drink (from
fertilizers, chemicals, and other additives such as colorings,
preservatives, medications), and the air your breathe (from automobile
emissions, pesticides, and industrial pollutants). Some of the body's own
compounds must be detoxified and released as well.
This tests how quickly the liver can rid the body of caffeine (i.e. how
quickly the liver can detox a toxin).
Your Liver performs over 3000 different known functions and is involved in
a Multitude of Diseases including: CHRONIC FATIGUE, CANCER, HEPATITIS,
EMOTIONAL IMBALANCES, CYSTS, TUMORS, GROWTHS, IMMUNE SYSTEM CHALLENGES,
DIGESTIVE DISORDERS, SKIN AND HAIR AND EYE PROBLEMS, HEADACHES, ARTHRITIS,
etc.
Ask Yourself:
· Do you use tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, chewing
tobacco?
· Do you live or work with someone who smokes in your presence?
· Are you often exposed to automobile exhaust fumes?
· Do you live or work in a building that has new carpeting, paint, or
furniture that may be giving off odors or gases?
· Have you ever used toxic chemicals such as insect sprays or herbicides
at home or at work?
· Do you have one or more alcoholic drinks per week?
· Have you taken prescription drugs two or more times in the past year?
· Do you often eat meat grilled over a charcoal fire?
· Do you suffer from gastrointestinal problems?
· Do you have allergies, sinus problems, or joint pain?
· Are you frequently tired from a normal day's activity?
If you answered "Yes" to two or more of these questions, you may
be reacting to increased toxic exposure and burdening your body's
detoxification ability. Your body's natural self-defense system may be
overwhelmed by toxins in food, water, and air.
There is growing awareness that hormone function plays a vital role in a
man's health over the course of his lifetime. In particular, changes in
the production of the sex hormone testosterone can exert a profound
influence on: SEXUAL FUNCTION, BONE DENSITY, FAT METABOLISM, MOOD STATES,
ENERGY LEVELS, and even PHYSICAL APPEARANCE (SKIN AND MUSCLE TONE).
The Male Hormone Profile is an accurate, convenient, non-invasive saliva
assay that evaluates testosterone activity in men. This profile can
uncover disrupted testosterone secretion rhythms caused by aging, chronic
illness, infection, toxic exposure, smoking, trauma, and many other
factors. The test is indicated for sex related dysfunctions such as: LOW
LIBIDO, IMPOTENCE AND HYPOGONADISM, and FOR USE IN ANTI-AGING TREATMENT
PROGRAMS THAT ADDRESS POSSIBLE HORMONAL IMBALANCES BEHIND INCREASING
FATIGUE, DEPRESSION, AND WEIGHT GAIN IN MIDDLE-AGED AND ELDERLY MEN.
The comprehensive version of this profile includes measures of cortisol,
DHEA, and melatonin, to get a more complete picture of how adrenal
hormones and melatonin may also be playing a role in producing symptoms
and/or imbalances.
Facts:
1. Countries with highest Dairy Consumption have highest rate of
Osteoporosis.
2. High Protein Diet sucks Calcium from bones to neutralize the acid
needed to digest the protein.
3. Cigarettes, Dairy Products, Meat, Phosphates from Soda Pop, and
Caffeine all suck calcium out of bones.
4. The problem with Dairy Products is that it is formulated to build a cow
not a human. Thus milk has 3-4 times the amount of protein than human
milk. Therefore, when milk is consumed by humans, the stomach emits much
more mucus to protect itself from acids.
BONE LOSS.... THE COST TO YOUR HEALTH
Accelerated loss of bone affects more than 25 million Americans. The
majority of these are postmenopausal women, but men, younger women, and
otherwise healthy, active individuals can also experience dangerous
thinning and weakening of bones known as osteoporosis. Complications of
osteoporosis are the 12th leading cause of death in America and are
responsible for more deaths in women than cancers of the breast and cervix
combined. This disease costs the healthcare system about $18 billion each
year. Difficult to diagnose, early on, Osteoporosis often goes undetected
until bones become so brittle that even the slightest trauma causes
fracture. Disfigurement, wrinkles, decreased mobility, and/or calcium
deposits in soft tissue (joints, kidneys, arteries, etc.) are common and
can lead to further complications.
BONE RESORPTION AND BONE LOSS
Bone is an active, living tissue, made of a protein net to which various
minerals attach. It is constantly being dissolved, through a process known
as bone resorption, and rebuilt. Exercise and a diet rich in calcium,
magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, and manganese are crucial for building and
maintaining healthy bones. If you are like most Americans, you do not
exercise or get enough of these nutrients. As you age, the resorbing
process tends to surpass the rebuilding process, and the net effect is
bone loss. The rate at which this occurs can be very rapid, but since its
silent progression does not cause pain early on, it can go undetected
until as much 40% of peak bone mass is gone.
PEOPLE WHO NEED TO BE TESTED FOR BONE LOSS
· Men and women over 50
· All peri-menopausal women
· All women who have had hysterectomies
· Heavily exercising women of all ages
· Women with a family history of osteoporosis
· Women recently pregnant or nursing
· Women with thin, petite, or small frames
· People who use anti-ulcer medication
· All people who inadequately exercise or have a sedentary occupation
· People who consume excessive amounts of soft drinks or caffeine
· Smokers and heavy alcohol consumers
· Men and women with lactose intolerance or dairy allergy
· All people using steroids
Following menopause, a marked decrease in levels of estrogen and other sex
hormones produces several distinct changes in female physiology. These
changes can have a dramatic impact on a woman's physical and emotional
health. Many conditions associated with this period of a woman's life,
however, can be effectively overcome or modulated by re-establishing
optimal hormonal balance.
The Menopause Profile identifies deficiencies (or excesses) of important
sex hormones (estradiol, estrone, estriol, progesterone, and testosterone)
and provides an easy-to-use tool for monitoring clinical therapy. It can
provide guidance in the therapeutic intervention of several conditions
associated with sex hormone imbalances in women:
· Menopause
· Endometriosis
· Breast Cancer
· Hypertension and Heart Disease
· Osteoporosis
· Low Libido
· Hot Flashes
